Noel Rockmore (AM 1928-1995) – Fiddler on the Roof – Etching, ca. 1979, ed. 50, signed in plate and numbered in pencil, 10 x 15 ¾. This piece is in excellent condition.

The image depicts character from the French Quarter in New Orleans during the bohemian period from the 1960’s to the 1980’s. Rockmore, a Julliard trained musician, is playing violin on the roof. Below him is Jim Robinson, a Preservation Hall musician. His roommate, “the Old Man”, is far right and his girlfriend at the time is center. A very interesting and rare piece.
