�In 1937 Sheffield Steel Corporation commissioned Nesbitt to make etching of their workers in action. This proved to be a pivotal point in Nesbitt�s career because it provided him with opportunity and experience to draw powerful portraits of American workers in dramatic industrial settings. In the most successful Sheffield etchings, Nesbitt�s fiery imagery transports us into an environment of blinding light and intense heat almost real enough to raise sweat on the brow�.
