John Taylor Arms (AM 1887-1953) – Bark “Metis” Making Harbor – 1923 etching and aquatint, black and white (from the 2nd state), ed. of 5 in the state that were black and white (the color prints are an edition of 200). Framed, piece and frame in excellent condition, a very rare piece. This is a plate in which Arms experimented. This image is based off of a drawing by D.W. Smith of a boat built at Newburyport, Massachusetts. Arms copied it at the Peabody museum in 1923.
